3D Air Mesh

What is 3D airmesh?

We use 3D airmesh as a type of filling in some of our turnout rugs. It is a type of fabric with three-dimensional structure that forms small, raised pockets or channels. This structure allows air to flow freely between layers, which promotes ventilation and helps regulate temperature. Essentially, it's breathable, lightweight, moisture-wicking and helps with airflow.

Great to use as a rainsheet, as it is moisture wicking and stays breathable even when the outer shell fabric is wet.

Why do we use it as a filling and not a lining? We could use 3D airmesh as a lining, however the holes and spaces in the fabric can get easily clogged with hair (especially during shedding season), which is notoriously difficult to wash out. So we place it between the shell fabric and our standard lining on the Atlas turnout rugs, so its functions remain but it stays easy to clean.
