The Bow Horse Orion Summer rug is a super stylish summer rug featuring:
- A strong 250 gsm medium weight cotton feel technical polyester fabric,
- Breathable fabric provides protection against UV, flies, dirt and dust,
- A lined, detachable Ripple™ neck rug helps prevent mane loss by reducing pressure on the mane and increasing air availability,
- Elastic at the top of the neck rug to help stop sliding,
- Adjustable, angled chest straps with a double lock velcro strap for adjustability and security,
- Double shoulder lining that acts as an integrated bib, designed to prevent shoulder rubbing,
- Elasticated PVC covered tail cord,
- Fittings to add leg straps if preferred,
- Heavy duty hardware and dual cross surcingles,

We have a couple of horses who no matter what rugs/hoods we put on them, we always have the mane thinning out along the bottom half of the neck. I love the scrunch neck and these rugs actually cover the whole horse. The tail bag is an added bonus! I now have 4 Bow Horse rugs and will be buying more when the new stock comes in.

Purchased 5’3 w/XXL neck cover. Horse is 17.2. Rug is at its biggest to fit shoulders but I’m hoping it’ll stretch. 5’6 usually hangs off his butt. Beautiful cover, well made & lovely quality. Neck cover perfect size.
The quality of these rugs is outstanding! You can definitely tell its not a high production rug. Fit is true to size. Customer service is excellent. Will be the only rug I buy from now on.
Love this cover! Especially the tail bag fastening which is easier than others I own. I'll probably try a size up next time as my horse's chest has broadened to the limits of the velcro front closure. The neck rug design is great, the pressure is off where it needs to be (at the lower 1/3 of the neck) so that's a win. Such a nice quality rug.
