Atlas Horse Rug with Detachable Neck - Winter Rug
The star of the show, the main event. The Bow Horse® Atlas™ turnout rug combines 1200D ripstop waterproof, breathable polyester fabric with an anti-rub lining and your choice of filling weight/warmth. This rug was designed with ultimate adjustability, usability and comfort in mind. Featuring a fully adjustable, angled chest strap that allows the rug to be customised to multiple horse shapes and sizes. The non-static chest clip and ring allows freedom of movement and helps to distribute pressure while the shaping of the rug ensures maximum comfort and fit. These rugs come standard with a PVC covered tail cord, however connections are available to utilize leg straps if desired. Compatible liner rugs are available for purchase separately and allow additional warmth to be added to the rug for cooler weather.
A detachable neck rug is included and features our Ripple® neck technology, designed to help prevent mane loss by reducing pressure on the mane, increasing air circulation and reducing the chance of over-heating hair follicles. The neck rug is easily removed and replaced with a sturdy velcro connection and alternate fill options are available to tailor the rug to multiple weather situations.

ADORE these rugs, I have several of them now and find them much better value than Horseware. I have a $700 Horseware Duo Tech which isn't as good as these in my opinion. Total convert.
Strong, well sized winter rugs that I was lucky enough to pick up at sale price. Communication with Bow Horse was great. Highly recommended.
This is the first rug I've bought in a long time that really FITS well. Sits nice & high around the neck, so no rubbing & slipping around. Nice long drop too. The neck rug design I have actually had in a cotton rug by another brand before, so I already knew it would work (and it does).
I have purchased many VERY expensive Horseware rugs over the years and this is honestly a MUCH better fit and design. The neck attaches with velcro which I really prefer to loop attachments. I also like that the liner attachments are down on the shoulder instead of up near the wither (like Horseware rugs have) because they always get caught in the mane & rub. These attachments also don't sit directly against the horse's body, which again prevents any undue friction. Very well thought-out design.
The tail flap is very generous, really like how adjustable the chest closure is as well. Also the tail cord is thicker & more robust than others I've seen.
My only issue is that the fabric is perhaps not the strongest, have already got a bit of freying going on and I have had to replace the chest clip, which broke. BUT in saying that, because of the double closure, even though it broke, the rug stayed in place perfectly.
Not: pics are of the 0g I originally ordered and is shown with the liner. I have since purchased another one as I really like the design.
I cannot rave highly enough about the Bow Horse rug I just purchased ! Such a great fit, doesn’t rub the mane or shoulders and it’s so comfortable my horse doesn’t even object to me putting it on or off. He’s usually difficult to cover, but not in his Bow Horse ❤️
