The Bow Horse® Orion® S-Guard® Extra-Wide Summer Horse Rug combines the features of our new Orion® S-Guard summer rug with a specially tailored fit for broader-built horses. Made from strong 260gsm cotton-feel diamond ripstop polyester, it provides lightweight, breathable summer protection while allowing plenty of room through the chest, shoulders, neck and body.

Featuring Bow Horse’s signature shoulder design to help prevent shoulder rubs and a detachable Ripple® Neck Rug designed to help reduce mane rubbing and mane loss, the Orion® S-Guard® is designed with comfort, fit and freedom of movement in mind.

Our Extra-Wide fit is designed for horses that need more room than a standard horse rug can provide. If you find yourself sizing up to accommodate a broad chest or wide shoulders, only to end up with a rug that is too long through the body, our Extra-Wide sizing could be the perfect solution.

The Extra-Wide fit is particularly suited to draft horses, draft crosses, cobs and other broader-built horses, providing additional room where it is needed while maintaining a correctly proportioned fit.

Compared with our standard sizing, Extra-Wide rugs feature:

• Additional drop through the body and neck cover
• Larger neck opening for more room through the chest and shoulders
• Specially tailored rump for broader builds
• Longer and wider tail flap for increased coverage
